What We Do

We work with communities to bring community activation to their space through a process called appreciative inquiry. Appreciative Inquiry is a strength-based approach to change. It includes Discovering, Dreaming, Designing, and Delivering.

With this process:
1) We build Strategy Playbooks for communities to activate
2) We provide training and support through our ICx program

Strategy Playbooks

Strategy Playbooks are comprehensive plans for flourishing that a community can follow to activate their residents. Through this process, we assess and map the current goals, community leaders, projects, data, sentiment of the community, and achieve a deeper understanding. Over a course of two to four months, we have over 82 meetings with residents and leaders and then synthesize our findings into a three year Strategic Playbook.

Training and Support

In our training and support program, we train your local leaders and implement the Strategy Playbook. This training includes:
- immersion session in an established IC community
- training modules that are both self-paced and via web call (both individual and as a cohort)
- project management templates for the local leader to implement the experiences
- software tools
- reporting template docs
- descriptions and outlines for any event in the Strategy Playbook

The training will guide the local leader to building up over 70 events per year in their community to help residents flourish, build deeper connections, collaborate on projects, and build things together.

This requires an estimated 4-5 hours a week from a local leader and about an hour a month from the stakeholders (board members, investors, etc)
